FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: capsule adapter contains: the capsule receiver designed for housing the capsule and having a bottom wall with an opening/openings; the first piercing element located in the capsule receiver; the cover designed to close the capsule receiver. The cover has at least one channel for water intake; the second piercing element arranged on the cover. The capsule adapter is made with the possibility of its introduction into the brewing chamber of the machine for producing beverages, with the capsule placed therein.
EFFECT: adapter ensures the possibility to work with capsules having large dimensions, and therefore the same machine can provide brewing various kinds of beverages, depending on what kind of capsules the user uses the same brewing chamber.
