FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: above the surface of the grain mass at a distance of 5 to 50 cm from the surface at an angle of not more than 20 degrees, a thermal imaging scanner with sensitivity of ±0.1°C and a wavelength of 2-12 microns is installed to do macro shots. The surface temperature of the grain mass is then measured, which is further irradiated with high frequency waves with a radiation frequency of 2450±50 MHz. After that, a repeated thermal imaging survey of the surface of the grain mass is carried out. The obtained thermographic data is transferred to a computer, processed and analyzed using software, which allows establishing the location of the minimum and maximum temperatures on the surface of the grain mass. If the temperature difference between the surface of the grain mass and the bodies of destructive pests is not less than 0.5°C and the magnitude of the difference in these temperatures determines the location and extent of infection with destructive pests.

EFFECT: increase of accuracy, reliability and trustfulness of effective monitoring of grain mass lots contamination with destructive pests.
