FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: machine for preparing a beverage from a capsule containing an ingredient comprises: a module for the treatment of the capsule with the ingredient, having a chamber for the treatment of the above capsule; a passage for moving the capsule into the chamber; and a capsule positioning device having at least one element that can rotate about the rotation axis from the position for receiving and holding the capsule to the position for releasing the capsule into the passage. Wherein the rotation axis continues through the area occupied by the capsule held by the rotation element.
EFFECT: machine design is aimed at a more compact device for positioning and guiding the capsule into the machine treatment module, while simultaneously reducing the risk of improperly inserting the capsule into the ingredient treatment module.
