FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: lock and key set consisting of a key (200) and a cylinder lock (100) is proposed, comprising a housing (104), in which a key cylinder (102) is pivotally mounted. This cylinder has a key groove (101) for receiving the key blade (202) and a series of pins (111-116) mounted in respective cylindrical chambers (111a-116a) formed in the key cylinder for interfacing with V-shaped code grooves (211-216) present on the key. A longitudinal side bar (150) is installed in the key cylinder with the possibility to slide in the transverse direction. It is equipped with a series of inwardly protruding projections (151-156), each of which is able to selectively interact with one or more indentations (111h-116h) made in the pins. Each of the code V-shaped grooves (211-216) of the key (200) is inclined at an appropriate angle and is located at a corresponding vertical level. A number of inwardly protruding projections (151-156) of the lateral bar (150) are located above the upper level (B) of the grooves of the key blade, and the pins (111-116) are configured such that each of said recesses made in the cylindrical pin surface is closed by a cylindrical wall of the corresponding cylindrical chamber (111a-116a) and does not communicate with the bottom surface of the pin facing the key groove. As a result, each such recess is hidden, i. e. invisible from within the key groove, even when it is free. The invention also relates to a side bar and a key.
