SUBSTANCE: 3 days before the operation, total BAEE-esterase activity of trypsin-like proteinases is determined in the patient's blood plasma and, at a value of 305.9-360.1 mU/ml, a benign brain tumor is diagnosed, at a value of 1228.6- 1433.4 mU/ml, primary malignant brain tumor is diagnosed, and at its value in the range of 2052.9-2401.1 secondary malignant brain tumor is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method allows differential diagnostics of brain neoplasm prior to operation, which in turn will provide the most effective medical and technical preparation for the surgical treatment of a patient with a brain neoplasm and reduce the length of patient's stay in the hospital.
