FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method includes the material electrical conductivity determination and the analysis of the values obtained. At that for each standard tube size and alloy grade determine the minimum basic value of the electrical conductivity corrected for the surface curvature radius and the pipe wall (γb) thickness, as well as the reference difference of its values within the reference pipe length (Δγ) measurements. Provide the sequential measurements of the electrical conductivity after heat treatment along the entire length of the pipe outer surface in the certain equal intervals. Compare the obtained values with the allowable ones. If the electrical conductivity indicators correspond to the basic value and the reference difference, judge about the oversintering absence in the pipe material structure.

EFFECT: simplification, accuracy increase and the ability to detect the local oversintering.
