FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, specifically to high-strength wrought alloys based on aluminium, and can be used to produce deformed articles intended for making high-load parts and structures, including critical applications. Wrought aluminium-based alloy contains, wt.%: Cu – 4.50-6.50, Mn – 0.20-1.50, Si – 0.15-0.90, Sn – 0.04-0.20, Zr – 0.05-0.25, Ti – 0.01-0.20, Fe – 0.01-0.30, Al and impurities – the rest, with total content of zirconium and titanium making not more than 0.26 wt.%. Alloy has equilibrium solidus temperature not lower than 540 °C and structure after heat treatment, containing aluminium matrix with microhardness of not less than 145 HV. Alloy can be used in production of high-strength deformed semi-finished products in the form of rolled plates and sheets, forgings and pressed bars.

EFFECT: alloy after deformation and aging has high values of strength and ductility.
