SUBSTANCE: method for determining the activity of radionuclides incorporated into personnel arm skin covers differs in the fact that the calibration coefficient is determined using a typical radiometre (radiometre-dosimetre) and a gamma spectrometre, as well as by the results of measuring the sample from a specific workplace and the activity of radionuclides incorporated into the personnel arm skin covers is determined by the formula A=(na-nb)⋅Cr⋅(nwr-nbr)/(nw-nb), where A is the activity of radionuclides incorporated into the personnel arm skin covers, Bq; na is the counting rate on a gamma spectrometre from the surface of the arm skin cover, cp⋅m.-1; nb is the background counting rate on the gamma spectrometre at the place of measurements, cp⋅m.-1; Cr is the conversion coefficient from measuring units of the radiometre in Bq; nwr is the radiometre reading from the dry wipe taken at the specific working place; nbr is the radiometre background reading at the place of meaurements; nw is the counting rate from the dry wipe taken at the specific working place, determined on the gamma spectrometre, cp⋅m.-1.

EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced detection limit for radionuclide activity, simplified control.
