FIELD: hygiene; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of occupational hygiene and medicine and discloses a method for conducting radiation monitoring in the event of inhalation of radioactive aerosols containing actinides in the body of personnel. Method is characterized by fact that a smear is taken from the nasal cavity of the personnel, after which the calculation of radionuclide activity in the smear from the personnel’s nasal cavity is made based on the results of measuring an analytical AFA-type filter taken from a specific workplace and a sample taken from the nose smear using a radiometer and a gamma-ray spectrometer. Method can be used at manufacturing plants for the purpose of mass operative radiation monitoring.
EFFECT: invention allows you to quickly and reliably determine the activity of radionuclides in the smear from the personnel’s nasal cavity, simplify the preparation of samples for measurement.
