FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for determination and/or control of tightness of an enclosed room, equipped with a plant (1), in which an oxygen content, at least pre-determined and reduced in comparison with the normal ambient air, is determined and maintained through the supply of a gas, displacing oxygen. The plant (1) comprises of a compressor system (4; 4.1, 4.2) for compressing the initial gas mixture and a gas separation system (3; 3.1, 3.2), connected to the compressor system (4; 4.1, 4.2) to separate at least a part of the oxygen, contained in the initial gas mixture, and to produce nitrogen-enriched gas, which is fed into the enclosed room (2). The differential pressure in the room (2) is determined and compared with the corresponding reference value, which gives information on the tightness of the room (2).
EFFECT: reduction of the oxygen content in the room, simplification of the method of leak testing.
