FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: system is disclosed for printing, activating and applying a stream of non-basic activated labels to the flow of objects to be labeled. According to the invention, an activable adhesive is produced that readily absorbs the energy of the present radiation source, and such an activated adhesive is included in a non-basic label with an activated adhesive. Appropriate methods and examples of application are disclosed. The activated adhesive includes a plasticiser, a tackifier, and an adhesive backbone polymer that includes butyl acrylate, styrene, methyl methacrylate, methacrylic acid, and acrylic acid.
EFFECT: improving the properties of an adhesive.
