FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: synthesis is conducted of halide melt, anhydrous lanthanum chloride is used as a source of lanthanum, sodium fluorosilicate is used as a source of silicon, an equimolar mixture of potassium and sodium chlorides is used as a solvent, with the following component ratio, wt %: lanthanum chloride 1.0÷4.0, fluorosilicate sodium 1.0÷5.0; the rest is an equimolar mixture of potassium chloride and sodium, and the process of lead at a temperature of 700°C and electrolysis capacities concerning glass-carbon comparison of electrode from -2.6 to -2.8 W.
EFFECT: obtaining of nanoscale powders lanthanum silicide; receiving target product in its pure form due to good solubility of equimolar melt of potassium chloride and sodium chloride in water and solubility of lanthanum fluoride potassium fluoride produced.
