METHOD OF EARLY DIAGNOSTICS OF PERINATAL AFFECTION OF CNS IN FULL-TERM NEWBORN BABIES Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2404432 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method lies in biochemical analysis of blood serum of newborn babies in first day of life. In peripheral blood concentration of VEGF and VE-cadherin is determined, and discriminant function (Y) is calculated by formula: Y=-11.991+0.048×X1+0.151×X2, where X1 is VEGF concentration (pg/ml), X2 is concentration of VE-cadherin (ng/ml) and if Y value is less than zero, perinatal hypoxic affection of CNS is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method increases accuracy of early diagnostics of perinatal hypoxic affections of CNS in full-term babies and makes it possible to start taking therapeutic measures in due time.
