SUBSTANCE: method includes the carbonaceous bottom destruction section determination, preparation of the repair mixture, pouring of the repair mixture with the molten aluminium to obtain the repair mass, delivering of the repair mass to the destruction section, the destruction section filling with the repair mass. The unformed magnesium oxide with the composite coating, based on titanium diboride is used as the repair mixture.

EFFECT: reduction of the electrolyser bottom wear, which contributes to the aluminium electrolyser service lifetime increase.
