FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: loop structure of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) filaments is created. At that, the neochords are formed on a wire spring frame with a fixed lower base, a detachable upper base and an hourglass section with an isthmus size of 18-19 mm. The first loop from the middle section of the filament with two needles is made by circling it around the frame neck and tying 3-4 knots with free filament ends in the isthmus region, ensuring contact of the knots with each other without deformation of the filament structure. Similarly, three more loops are formed. After that, the loops are shifted so that the knots are located at the level of the isthmus middle. Next, the neochords base is formed by alternately passing the filament ends around the line of knots in the direction perpendicular to the length of the loops and linking them together to form four knots. In this case, the knots are brought into contact with each other without deformation of the filament structure. Then loops are removed from the frame through the detachable base, and the filament ends are passed through the PTFE gasket at a distance of 3-3.5 mm from each other.

EFFECT: method allows to shorten the formation time of neochords during mitral valve reconstruction due to the use of the previously created neochords during intervention, to provide adequate reconstruction of the mitral valve.
