FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology. During operation access into cavity of left ventricle is made and artificial cords of 3-rd order are created. Chords are created by application of traction sutures from PTFE-threads on intermediary head of posterior-medial papillary muscle and posterior head of anterior-lateral papillary muscle. Said sutures are brought on external side of aortic-mitral curtain under commissural parts of left and right coronary cusps of aortic valve. Cardiac function is restored. Degree of tension of artificial cords is regulated by transesophageal echocardiography.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to restore geometry of mitral valve and subvalvular structures on working heart not only in case of local post-infarction changes of left ventricle, but in case of other diseases resulting in heart failure at the background of global remodeling and increase of left ventricle volume of various expression, which makes it possible to avoid necessity of mitral valve prosthetics.
