SUBSTANCE: intercommissural distance is measured, the altered mitral valve leaflets are excised, and two asymmetrical leaflets with chords are cut out - the anterior non-leaflet of the mitral valve and the posterior non-leaflet of the mitral valve from the patient’s own pericardium, treated with a 0.6% glutaraldehyde solution. After that, the leaflets are fixed to the fibrous ring of the patient’s mitral valve. The anterior neo-leaflet of the mitral valve is made in form of a crescent with the side of attachment of the neo-leaflet to the fibrous annulus and a free edge. The anterior valve additionally contains two chords, made on both sides of the free edge of the anterior valve, for fixation to the anterior papillary muscle. The free edge is equal to 1.36D, additionally increased by 0.82 cm. The length of the anterior leaflet is equal to 0.36D, additionally increased by 3.32 cm. The chords of the anterior non-leaflet of the mitral valve are equal to 0.06D, additionally increased by 1.52 cm. The posterior neo-leaflet of the mitral valve is made in form of a crescent containing the side of attachment of the neo-leaflet to the fibrous annulus and a free edge. The posterior valve additionally contains two chords, made on both sides of the free edge of the posterior valve, for fixation to the posterior papillary muscle. Moreover, the free edge is equal to 2.27D, additionally reduced by 1.02 cm, where the length of the posterior leaflet is equal to 2.29D, additionally reduced by 1.55 cm. The chords of the posterior non-leaflet of the mitral valve are equal to -0.12D, additionally increased by 2.24 cm. In this case, D is the diameter of the mitral valve.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the life of the mitral valve non-leaflet while simultaneously reducing side effects such as regurgitation, as well as degradation and calcification of the neo-leaflets.
