METHOD FOR ANNULOPLASTY OF THE MITRAL VALVE WITH AN AUTOPERICARDIAL STRIP IN PATIENTS WITH DEGENERATIVE DEFECTS OF THE MITRAL VALVE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2774033 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiovascular surgery. A strip is taken from the parietal surface of the pericardium. The autopericardium strip is stabilized in 0.6% glutaraldehyde solution for 10 minutes, then it is washed in physiological saline solution of 0.9% sodium chloride. The fibrous ring along the base of the posterior leaflet is stitched 10 mm above the anterior and posterior commissures with U-shaped sutures on polytetrafluoroethylene pads. The distance is measured along the line of the posterior semicircle of the fibrous ring between the beginning of the first and the end of the final sutures. A strip of the required length is formed by turning it with the visceral surface of the pericardium outwards. They are sutured with threads that were previously sutured into the fibrous ring, lowered along the threads and placed on the fibrous ring of the mitral valve and the strip is fixed.

EFFECT: method reduces risks of occurrence of macrophage-lymphocytic reaction to the pericardium, suture eruption and autopericardial strip tearing, prevents excessive narrowing of the mitral valve opening during annuloplasty and occurrence of SAM-syndrome.
