FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction, namely, structures erected on soils heaving during freezing and subsidence during defrosting, and is intended for discharge of excess water from soil during construction and reconstruction of buildings. Method of protecting a foundation of a structure in a building area to maintain a wet mode on heaving soils involves creating a trench, forming a mine working in the soil, immersing a foundation body therein and backfilling with non-heaving soil. In the direction in front of the building, the additional support protection block of the structure is located below the depth of seasonal freezing. Artificially tapping on the side of the foundation of the ditch is made with a slope from the side of the support guard block, which is somewhat remote from the building zone and conditions are created to maintain a constant water level by selection of excess underground water formed from the makeup of underground water with the help of a permanent device in form of a siphon, which has a start-up mechanism made in the form of interconnected water-level sensor tube, ejector, well, closed collector with discharge pipe. Pipe-sensor of the water level is connected on one side with the siphon suction part through the hole made in the side wall (partition) of the well, and on the other side by means of the ejector – with the drain part of the siphon located in the additional section-chamber at the bottom of the well. Lower end of the tube-sensor is placed in the additional section-chamber above the level of location of the overflow wall of the section-chamber, and the end of the drain part of the siphon and the outlet pipe of the closed collector – below it.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of protection efficiency of foundations against deformations of frost-dangerous bases in conditions of their deep seasonal freezing and groundwater levels, and also enables to accelerate removal of underground water in heaving soils during thawing of soils in zones of operation of foundations of buildings for buildings under construction on heaving soils.
