FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method of feeding includes the introduction into the basic diet of laying hens of a biologically active fodder additive from the plant resources of the Magadan Region. The fodder additive consists of meal made of brown seaweed (kelp), meal of dwarf pine needles and meal of stinging nettle. The fodder additive is fed in an amount of the following components in the basic diet: 2.0-3.0% of stinging nettle meal; 0.5% of dwarf pine needles; 0.5-1.0% of brown seaweed (kelp) meal. Feeding the fodder additive to the laying hens has a positive effect on the metabolic processes occurring in the poultry body, ensuring a reduction in fodder costs of the production of one unit. An economic effect was obtained in the production of 1,000 eggs in total of 832.7 and 877.0 rubles. (per used fodders). EFFECT: application of component biologically active fodder additives, made of local plant resources containing acting biologically active substances, in diets of agricultural poultry is a more rational and effective form of diet enrichment for laying hens, an increase in the total egg production and egg-laying capacity per hen housed, an increase in egg-laying intensity, increase in the average egg weight and yield of egg mixture, increase in the consumer properties of the products produced by increasing the concentration of carotenoids in the egg yolk, an increase in solids in the egg as a whole, an increase in the content of crude fat, crude protein, nitrogen-free extractive substances, calcium, phosphorus and potassium.
