SUBSTANCE: method includes providing the part model, applying the first powder layer to the work table, directing the first energy beam from the first energy beam source to the work table to fuse the first powder layer in the first selected locations in accordance with the model to form the first part of the first cross section of said part, directing the second energy beam from the second energy beam source to the work table, to fuse the first powder layer to the second selected locations in accordance with the model to form the second part of the first cross section of said three-dimensional part. The first and the second locations of the first powder layer are fused simultaneously with the first and the second energy beams from the first and the second energy beam sources, respectively. The spot of the first energy beam at least partially overlaps the spot of the second energy beam. A predetermined value of powers sum of the first and the second beams in the first overlapping zone is maintained.
EFFECT: formation of large-volume three-dimensional parts.
