FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of parts by selective fusion of powder. First layer of the first metal powder is applied, the main element of which is the first metal element. Second energy beam is moved along the first layer; at that, energy provided by the second beam allows local and surface melting of the first layer. Then second layer of second metal powder is applied on the first layer, the main element of which is the second metal element different from the first metal element. First energy beam is moved along the second layer, wherein the energy provided by the first beam enables to initiate an exothermic reaction between the first element and the second element, wherein energy released in such exothermic reaction provides local fusion of the first and second layers together.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption associated with beam generation.
