FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hydrocarbon oil hydrotreating process using a first reactor and a second reactor comprising (i) providing a first hydrogen-containing gas stream, heating a first hydrogen-containing gas stream and a hydrocarbon oil in a lower section of the heating device; (ii) hydrotreating the hydrocarbon oil in the first reactor with the first hydrotreating catalyst in the presence of a first hydrogen-containing gas stream provided in step (i) to produce a first effluent stream; (iii) separating the first effluent obtained in step (ii) into a hydrotreated hydrocarbon oil and a hydrogen-containing gas used using a stripping column using a hydrogen-containing gas as a stripping gas, the contaminated hydrogen-containing gas containing the hydrogen-containing gas used and the gaseous components from the first effluent are purified by an amine absorption column; (iv) providing a second hydrogen-containing gas stream that is heated in an upper section of said heating device that is located upstream of the first reactor to produce a heated hydrogen-containing gas stream; and (v) contacting at least a portion of the heated hydrogen-containing gas stream produced in step (iv) in the second reactor, optionally in the presence of at least a portion of the hydrotreated hydrocarbon oil obtained in step (iii) with a second hydrotreating catalyst to produce a stream of used A hydrogen-containing gas and a second effluent which contains an additionally hydrotreated hydrocarbon oil, when the hydrotreated hydrocarbon oil obtained in step (iii) is also present.

EFFECT: flexible way of hydrotreating allows to separate the first and second stage of hydrofining, summer use only the first reactor and combine the use of two reactors in the remainder of the year.
