FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electronic high-power microwave instrument of flight type includes a vacuum housing made of a material with low electrical conductivity, a magnetic system for the formation and transportation of an electron beam, a collector of an exhausted electron beam made separately from the vacuum housing in the form of a body of revolution with a radius varying radially along the symmetry axis, the surface of which is current-receiving, as well as a collector scanning coil and a collector correction coil arranged coaxially to the collector outside the vacuum housing. Said geometry of the microwave device with a spatially homogeneous variable component of the magnetic field of the collector scanning coil significantly reduces the shielding of the variable component of the magnetic field in the area near the collector where the exhausted electron beam passes.

EFFECT: decreasing the maximum operating temperature of the current-receiving surface of the microwave instrument collector and increasing the durability of the microwave instrument at a given microwave power or increasing the maximum possible dissipated power of the exhausted electron beam and the microwave power at a given maximum operating temperature of the current-receiving surface of the collector or the durability of the microwave instrument.
