FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: high-power transit-time microwave electronic gadget incorporates a magnetic system for the generation and transfer of an electron beam, a vacuum case made of a low-conductivity material. An extra solenoid supplied with periodic AC is arranged coaxially outside the said vacuum case. The said gadget is provided with a collector of metal or alloy with high electric-and-heat conductivity composed of a single- or multistart spiral electrically insulated from the said vacuum case.
EFFECT: lower maximum operating temperature of the collector surface, hence, longer life at preset microwave radiation.
