FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: multislice computed tomography with the construction of three-dimensional reconstructions is carried out. When constructing reconstructions, the shape of the air columns of the right and left nose cavities is evaluated. Then the radius of curvature of the air column for each of the nose cavity on the planar images in the sagittal projection is measured, displaying the guide line on the axial cut along the nose passage. The radius of curvature is measured by overlay of the "Circle" software tool strictly along the tangent to the contour of the most protruding part of the air column. The diameter of the circle (D) is automatically calculated. At 30<D<40, the configuration of the nose ways is determined in rhinophysis: the presence of the protruding part along the upper contour of the airspace. At 41<D<55 - the normal configuration of the nose ways. At 56<D<80 - "hidden hump" - a combination of an elongated nose with the presence of a hump. At D>81 - a long straight nose. At D<-20 - rhinolodosis - a concave configuration of airways.

EFFECT: allows to accurately and objectively determine the configuration of airways.
