FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: catalytic unit for thermocatalytic purification of gas emissions in chemical processes contains two successively located support grids into rectangular openings of which demountable replaceable containers with removable plugs and elements of fastening to the first support grid are inserted. The containers are filled with boxes consisting of sections forming integral or assembling mesh channels of rectangular or square cross-section, in half of which entrance ends are blocked by input guide plugs, while in the others output ends are blocked by output plugs of sheet metal and equipped with supports. All the ends are reinforced with rectangular shells welded along their perimeters with sealing chambers filled with a sealing silica cord to control the optimum gap value between beds or packs of mesh catalysts fixed to the shells by means of clamps. Catalysts are pre-crosslinked arms made of mesh or fabric silica materials fixed to the outer surface of each section of mesh channels.

EFFECT: reduced metal consumption and material consumption of the catalytic unit, increased degree of noise attenuation and degree of purification of pollutants in the exhaust gases to values corresponding to environmental standards, at any discharge rates.
