METHOD FOR DETACHABLE INTRAVENOUS VENA CAVA FILTER OPTEASE "CORDIS" REMOVAL Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61F2/00

SUBSTANCE: single loop (catheter-conductor-extractor loop) is formed, a conductor is guided along the catheter, which is trapped in an antiphase by the extractor loop, a single loop ("reins") is formed: catheter-conductor-loop (extractor), whenr "reins" are pulled, the vena cava filter (VCF) is forcedly rejected. The VCF takes a central position relative to the vessel axis, after which a loop is inserted for removal. Then the OPTEASE Retrieval Catheter with the radiopaque tip is installed in front of the vena cava filter along the conductor to the implanted vena cava filter, along the angiographic conductor 260 cm 0.018 in. long. A diagnostic catheter PigTail is installed through the catheter, inside the cavity filter, the VCF is pulled up using its frame. The loop for removal is introduced through the OPTEASE Retrieval Catheter with a radiopaque tip. Then, after capturing and holding of the removable vena cava filter hook, the angiographic conductor is removed.

EFFECT: method ensures the removal of the intravenous removable cava filter with its close fit to the vein wall.
