FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: snapshot of the patient's teeth is preliminarily obtained. A model is made based on the picture. The model is scanned with a laser. The model shape is scanned and fixed in a computer program that simulates the desired shape of the framework of future zirconium dental crowns. In accordance with the preset computer program, the core of the crown framework is fabricated using a milling machine. The frame is then placed in a diluted gases medium and irradiated at a pressure of 10-2-10-3 Pa with pulsed electron beams of submillisecond duration, ranging from 100 to 200 μs, accelerated to 15 - 20 keV. Moreover, framework irradiation is carried out at a beam current of 100-200 A for 60-80 s at a repetition rate of 0.2-0.4 s-1.
EFFECT: method allows more gentle tooth restoration by means of a crown, as this noticeably reduces the thickness of the layer removed from the patient's tooth surface when preparing it for crown closure.
