SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of a metal reagent of formula (1) for removing ruthenium residues, compounds or complexes from mixtures formed after the reactions from the products of reactions catalyzed by ruthenium complexes and also from organic compounds contaminated with ruthenium. R1 is C2-C25 alkyl, R2 and R3 independently of one another, are C2-C25 alkyl, which is unsubstituted or substituted by an isonitrile (-NC) group, or R2 and R3 can be linked to each other to form a heterocyclic C4-C16 system containing N or O as a heteroatom and substituted with one or more isonitrile (-NC) groups or (-R'NC) groups, where R' is C1-C12alkyl. The use of two or more metal-collecting reagents of formula (1) is also proposed.
EFFECT: good results in the removal of ruthenium, the stability of compounds, both in the solid state and in solution, and that are also devoid of an unpleasant odor, which makes them simple to use.
