FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a motor (110) in the form of hydraulic motor or high torque motor for setting the roll in vertical position, a drive shaft (120) driven by this motor into rotational movement, a pressure screw (130) mounted with the possibility of vertical disengagement for transferring the movement force to the roller. The pressure screw on its end face (132) facing to the motor has an axially oriented cylindrical receiving space (140) in which the drive shaft (120) is located. The pressure screw (130) and the drive shaft (120) are rotatably coupled therebetween by a connection to the inside of the receiving space (140). The pressure screw (130) on the inner side of its receiving space has a splined hub profile distributed along its perimeter (134), and the drive shaft (120) is made in the form of a splined shaft for engaging with the profile of the splined hub to form a connection with geometric locking.
EFFECT: possibility to eliminate the need for expensive worm gear.
