FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: light-emitting device (100) with controlled colour solid-state light source (101), configured to emit light of the first wavelength range (L1). The light-emitting device also comprises a wavelength converting element (102) adapted to receive light from this first wavelength range emitted from the light source and capable of converting light of the first wavelength range into visible light (L2) of the second wavelength range (L2). The light-emitting device also comprises of a narrow-band reflector (103, 104) disposed in the direction of light output from the wavelength converting element to receive light of said second wavelength range. The narrow-band reflector is configured to reversely switch between the first state, in which the narrow-band reflector reflects the first subband of said second wavelength range, and the second state in which the narrow-band reflector reflects the second subband of the second wavelength range. Moreover, said first subband and said second subband differ from each other.
EFFECT: reducing the loss of efficiency.
