FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: histological examination of paraprostatic tissues of the bladder neck, including counting of inflammatory infiltrate cells: lymphocytes, monocytes, plasmocytes in the paraprostatic tissues of the bladder neck, is performed to predict the risk of vesicourethral anastomosis stenosis after radical prostatectomy. Also the area of dissemination of fibrosis in preparations stained with azocarmine according to Heidenheim is determined. When the number of lymphoid cells is more than 30 in the field of view with the lens 40 and eyepieces 10 (×400) and when replacement with connective tissue fibers is more than 2/3 of the drug area in the field of vision, high risk of stenosis is predicted.

EFFECT: use of this method allows to reduce postoperative complications by predicting the risk of development of vesicourethral anastomosis stenosis after radical prostatectomy and choice of tactics for patient treatment.
