METHOD FOR RADIONUCLIDE DIAGNOSIS OF PROSTATE CANCER Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B6/03 A61B8/13

Abstract RU 2830406 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oncology and can be used for radionuclide diagnosis of prostate cancer. Method comprises intravenous administration of radiopharmaceutical 68Ga-“ПСМА 60” minutes before computed tomography (CT) scanning, intravenous introduction of iodine-containing radiopaque preparation Omnipaque 300 for 10 minutes before scanning, performing computed tomographic scanning in the "whole body" mode with the patient lying on his/her back with the additional simultaneous intravenous bolus administration of Omnipaque 300 and subsequent positron emission tomography in the "whole body" mode with the patient lying "on the back". Additionally, immediately after intravenous administration of radiopharmaceutical 68Ga-“ПСМА”, water with urografin is orally administered to the patient, intravenous administration of Omnipaque 300 10 minutes before scanning is performed in amount of 50 ml, CT scanning is performed at 45 seconds from the beginning of the intravenous bolus administration of Omnipaque 300, then, after performing positron emission tomography (PET) in "whole body" mode, patient is additionally subjected to CT scanning of pelvic organs in a prone position with a lining under an anterior abdominal wall of a foam cushion, after which PET of the same area is performed.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows to achieve higher accuracy of PET/CT diagnostics of prostate cancer by obtaining an adequate filling of the lower urinary system with a radiopaque preparation, as well as an adequate intravenous contrast enhancement of the pelvic organs.
