FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new isomeric forms of terpenic β-hydroxyamines of pinane structure -(+)3α-amino-4β-hydroxy-10β-pinane or (-)3α-amino-4β-hydroxy-10β-pinane corresponding to the general formula (1), 3α-hydroxy-4β-amino-10β-pinane of formula (2) or 3α-hydroxy-4α-amino-10β-pinane of formula (3). Terpenic amino alcohols of this invention can be used to prepare precursors of physiologically active compounds as chiral organocatalysts. For example, in the cross-aldol reaction of isatin with acetone in toluene, product yield reaches 95% with the enantioselectivity of R isomer formation of 82%. The compounds can also be used as building blocks in the synthesis of enantiomerically enriched natural compounds, as pharmacologically active substances.
