SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a naphtho[2,1-b]carbazol derivative of fusidic acid selected from a compound by formula (1) or a compound by formula (2), to a method for preparation thereof and use in medicine thereof: .

The proposed method consists of interaction of the corresponding 3,11-dioxo derivative of fusidic acid with 3 eq. phenylhydrazine in dry ethanol environment at boiling for 2 hours under conditions of the Fischer reaction.

EFFECT: proposed is a new naphtho[2,1-b]carbazol derivative of fusidic acid effective as an antibacterially active agent against diseases in humans and animals caused by gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and a new effective method for synthesis thereof.
