FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes exposing the film-based photosensitive member provided with two electrodes to the analyzed radiation, measuring the electrical signal between the electrodes, and determining the polarization sign by the polarity of the measured electrical signal. The photosensitive member is disposed with the irradiated interelectrode portion obliquely to the incident beam of the laser such that the plane of the beam incidence on the film is parallel to the electrodes. The photosensitive element is a nanocrystalline film of copper selenide with a thickness of 50 to 500 nm.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of determining the polarization sign of the ultraviolet radiation.
