FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: two unmanned aircrafts are used for observation, one of which determines the characteristics of the ice situation at routing of the convoy of vessels, and the second one is a retransmitter, which transmits the obtained data on the ice situation to the support vessel via the radio channel. The first aircraft performs measurements by measuring acoustic hardware and software complex installed on it with radiating antennas by their direct contact with ice by means of a controlled landing. The required flight levels are set from the support vessel, and the required number of contact measurement points is identified by means of the video/radio hardware complex of this aircraft.

EFFECT: informativity and accuracy of ice reconnaissance.
