FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: in method of creating search results page in response to the receipt of a search query, a ranked set of search results is generated, including the result of general search and the result of vertical search. Wherein, the set of search results is ranked on the basis of utility parameter. The utility parameter indicates optimal position of result of vertical search in the ranked set of search results based on its utility with respect to the query. The utility parameter is preliminarily determined based on training sample of user data on past interactions with the result of vertical search, when its original rank was modified so that the result of vertical search was ranked randomly and located on the previous page of search results at a random position.
EFFECT: expanding the arsenal of technical means for creating search results page.
