SUBSTANCE: in disposable diaper (1A) in accordance with present invention, the top sheet (2) is positioned in a way that it covers the side of skin facing surface of the absorbent element (4), both side edges (4e) and the side of non-skinned surface of both side portions (4s), and the leakproof cuffs (6, 6) in the front and rear parts are arranged in a way that they extend from the side of non-skinned surface of the absorbent area (5) to the side of skin facing surface, and the leakproof cuffs are formed in a way that they are upright in the perineal part (C) when worn. The absorbent area (5) has fixed parts (67) which leakproof cuffs (6) are attached to, the fixed parts being located in the zones remote inward from the side edges (4e) of the absorbent element (4). The top sheet (2) includes an uneven zone (2a) that is located in a part covering the side of skin facing surface of the absorbent element and in which the protrusions are distributed in a dispersed manner and portions of the top sheet that cover the side of the unshaped surface of both side parts of the absorbent element (4) are flat zones (2b) having no inequality in which no depressions or protrusions are formed, the absorbent element includes the central zone (42) and side portions (4S) that are disposed on both sides of the central zone and are thinner than the central zone, and has a difference in height on the side converted to the skin surface of the absorbent element at the boundaries between the central zone and side portions, and uneven zone covers the area having uneven height difference of the absorbent element.
