FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: system includes a device for predicting the delay time of turning on the crossing signalling (DPDTTCS) and crossing signaling devices associated therewith, installed on the rail track section, the DPDTTCS being made with the possibility to: obtain primary parameters of the rail circuit, containing the readings of voltage U and current I at the supply end of the rail line; determining the reference parameters of the delay time for the crossing closing, containing the reference readings of U and I; saving the reference parameters; determining the position, direction and speed of the rolling stock; forming secondary parameters containing data on the calculated actual speed and direction of the rolling stock; comparing the obtained secondary parameters with the reference parameters; based on the comparison, determining the coordinate value of the crossing closing and, on its basis, activating the means of the crossing signalling system.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the time when a train approaches the crossing.
