SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the railway automation and telemechanics for the railway crossings monitoring. In the method using the moving objects detection means, according to the obtained from the detection means moving objects trajectories, selecting the object, which movement trajectory coincides with the approaching or moving away sections geographical data, matching this object with the railway unit, then, according to the train coordinates data, taking into account of their change speed by software, determining the train to the crossing arrival time and the crossing vacating time, then issuing commands for the fencing and signaling means controlling. Wherein in the train approaching area, sensors are additionally installed in pairs, which record their passage time by the train; by the obtained data calculating the train average and maximum speeds, then, using the software tools, generating prediction of the crossing operation time parameters, which are stored in the cloud server memory, and, via the wireless connection, notifying the users about the crossing opening / closing time.

EFFECT: enabling increase in the rail and road transport safety level at the crossings.
