FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: beta-voltaic battery contains a housing, a cover, semiconductor converters, insulating and radioisotope elements and electrically conductive contacts configurable in one or more sets connected in parallel and/or in series until the required output power is reached. The set is assembled from converters directed to each other by the heteropolar surfaces, between which electrically-conductive radioisotope elements are placed. The sets are separated by insulating elements equipped with evenly spaced grooves. The opposite grooves are provided with electrically-conductive contacts made with the possibility of their electrical connection both with electrically-conductive contacts of the extreme converters of each set, and with a regulator. Nickel-63 with an enrichment from 80% deposited on the n-layers of semiconductor converters is used as a radioisotope element.
EFFECT: increase in the specific power of the battery.
