FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: liquid detergent composition for clothes is described, produced by mixing the following components: component (a), component (b), component (c) and water, where the amount of the mixed component (a) and the number of the mixed component (b) in the amount of 15 wt % or more and 70 wt % or less relative to the total mass of all mixed starting materials, and the mass ratio of the amount of the mixed component (b) to the amount of the mixed component (a), i.e. component (b)/component (a), is 0.5 or more and 7 or less: component (a) is a nonionic surfactant represented by the following formula (1): R1O-(EO)mH (1) in the formula (1), R1 represents a hydrocarbon group containing 8 or more and 18 or less carbon atoms, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group, and m represents an average number of added moles and m is 1 or more and 9 or less; component (b) is an anionic surfactant represented by the following formula (2): R2O-[A1O)p/(EO)q]-SO3M (2) in the formula (2) R2 represents a hydrocarbon group containing 8 or more and 22 or less carbon atoms, AxO is an alkylene group selected from the alkylene group containing 3 carbon atoms, and the alkylene group containing 4 carbon atoms, EO represents an ethyleneoxy group and p and q each represent an average number of added moles, R is 1 or more and 5 or less, and q is 0 or more and 10 or less; the symbol "/" indicates that the group (A1O)p and the group (EO)q are connected to each other in the group in random order; and M represents a cation; and component (c) is an organic solvent having one or more hydroxyl groups in the amount of 5 wt % or more and 40 wt % or less relative to the total weight of all mixed starting materials.
