FIELD: automotive engineering.
SUBSTANCE: tread pattern of a pneumatic tyre contains: shoulder ground-engaging grooves (10), open at the edges; central ground-engaging grooves (14); a pair of longitudinal primary grooves (12), having an ondulating profile and a narrower width of the groove than that of the shoulder ground-engaging grooves. The portion, that is curved outward in the transverse direction of the tyre, is connected to the shoulder ground-engaging grooves, and the portion, that is bent inward in the transverse direction of the tyre, is connected to the central ground-engaging grooves; and the central blocks (16), defined by the central ground-engaging grooves and longitudinal primary grooves. The longitudinal primary grooves are provided on opposite sides in the transverse direction of the tyre in the zones spaced from the center line at a distance of 30% to 60% of half the width T of the tread.
EFFECT: improvement of traction characteristics and improvement of wear resistance of the central zone of the tread.
