SUBSTANCE: dispensing closure system (20) includes a closure base (30) that can be adapted to be attached to the associated container (22) and a lid (32) pivotally attached to the base (30) of the closure for movement Between closed and open positions in which, in the closed position of the lid (32), the lid (32) acts to close and seal the dispensing opening (50) formed by the closure base (30).
