SUBSTANCE: closure (30) is provided for the container (32). In one particular embodiment, the closure (30) has a base (34) and a lid (36). The base (34) forms a recess (70) having a dispensing hole (74). On each side of the recess (70) the base (34) has a part (80) of the rim, which forms the supporting surface (82). The front area of the base (34) has an inclined front surface (72). The lid (36) has a rear end connected by the connecting structure (40) to the base (34) of the closure and has a front end with a surface (86) of the lid for lifting with the finger. When the lid (36) is closed, the front end of the lid (36) is located behind at least the lower end of the inclined front surface (72) of the base, the larger part of the lid (36) is located between the parts (80) of the rim of the base, and the lid (36) is located lower than the supporting surface (82) of each part (80) of the rim.
