FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: ball joint and locking system are used, in particular, for doors of motor vehicles and are driven by electric drive. The ball joint (1) as an engagement element for the drive element (16), comprising a ball head (2) and a socket (3) with a support hole (4). The ball head (2) comprises a tenon (5) to limit rotation of the ball head (2) in the support hole (4). The ball head (2) with the tenon (5) is at least partially located in the support hole (4). At least one cushioning element (6) is located in the support hole (4) so that during rotation of the ball head (2) the contact between the tenon (5) and the socket (3) is eliminated. In a first direction (11), a ball surface (23) of the ball head (2) is held on a guide surface (21) of the cushioning element (6). A ring (14) is provided in the support hole (4) to block movement of the ball head (2) along a second direction (12).
EFFECT: increased degree of reliability of the ball joint as the mating unit for the drive element of the locking system and ensured possibility of silent operation.
