FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: non-baked grain product is used, that has not been preheated to the temperature above 200°F (93°C). The sweetener is added to the non-baked grain product to form a grain mixture. The grain mixture is stirred in a container with heating until the mixture is roasted, the container surface temperature being from about 200°F (93°C) to about 500°F (260°C). The roasted grain mixture is moulded into a non-baked food product. The method is implemented without placing said grain mixture in a dryer or an oven either before or after roasting.
EFFECT: resulting food product has a roasted appearance.
