FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: reducing melting is carried out in stages, wherein at first 10-60% of total amount of enriched vanadium slag is added, melted together with carbonaceous reducing agent in ratio of 1:(0.1-0.3), then after formation of metal bath, 85-98% of the remaining vanadium slag is melted together with carbonaceous reducing agent, aluminium and lime in ratio of 1:(0.02-0.09):(0.3-0.7):(0.3-0.5), and the process is completed by melting charge mixture containing vanadium slag, aluminium and lime in ratio 1:(0.7-3.5):(0.7-3.5). After completion of the reduction process, vanadium-depleted slag is slagged off and refined. The refining mixture additionally contains aluminium at ratio of slag, aluminium and lime 1:(0.01-0.06):(0.1-0.6).
EFFECT: increase of vanadium extraction, more efficient use of carbonaceous reducing agent and reduction of aluminium consumption, increase of lining resistance and improvement of quality of produced ingot.
